Landen was so excited to start back to school. This was such a big difference from last school year. There were no tears, no screaming, only “mommy can we start school today?”. Today was a fairly easy day, we started with our group time saying a morning prayer and talking about the days of the weeks and months of the year. We even said our pledge to the flag.

We did some handwriting, math, and of coarse worked on our reading.

And finally we waited on Daddy to get home and took our nature walk!

We were suppose to do a nature walk but in true FL afternoon fashion it started raining! So it had to be put off to another day!

This year started off wonderfully! I could not have asked for my kids to make day 1 any better! Praying that this will continue through out our first year!

I came across this post on one of the homeschooling blogs I enjoy reading! I decided that I really need to post some of my goals for this next month so that I can look back and see how much progress I have made. So I decided to link up with Mama Jenn to help keep myself accountable!

Work on reading my bible more and find time to study the word. I have tried to commit to doing different studies in the past but things always seem to come up and I stop making time for it.

Set aside time everyday to spend time just the two of us even if it is just 10 mins before bed. Make sure to show him I am interested in what is going on with him.

Get back to our chore chart. We have really slacked on making Landen complete his chores everyday.

Have dedication to our first year schooling. Be patient and get it time to get all the kinks worked out.

We are starting Aug. 6

Start freezer cooking. Start by doubling recipes and work up to once a month cooking!

Work on writing more constantly. Research how to make blog better.

Participate in the 2012 Not Back To School Blog Hop

Get some new embroidery designs done

Get my Etsy shop up and running

Get my website up and running. BizzyBugDesigns

So I have a few goals that I would like to accomplish in the next 30 days and I think I can work each one! Do you have any goals for the next month? Link up at Mama Jenn’s

I needed to take a break from blogging for a while. I really felt like I was writing just to write and not really saying anything. So I want to get back to the basics. I originally started this blog to share about our lives and share my kids groaning and changing. So thats were I want to get back to. There have been some major changes around here since I last wrote a blog post. First the kids both celebrated their birthdays. Landen is officially 4 and Lexi is now 16 months. I can’t believe how time has gone by so quickly! Next I started an embroidery business, so you may be seeing the kids in some of the items I sell from time to time. I also may be telling y’all when I add new items to my store. Third we became official residents of the state of Florida and bought a house! We also got a dog! (I will be posting pictures soon) And finally we are going to be homeschooling Landen starting in August. So I will also be updating on this journey as well. We have lots going on and I am hoping that this will renew my commitment to keeping this blog up to date on all the happenings around our home.

Worth of product $113.01

Total Spent $89.01

Not as good as my last trip but I got some great buys! The pasta I got for $0.24 a box, so I bought 8 boxes of it! I also stocked up on pizzas because I haven’t seen a lot of coupons for them so when I got 4 I figures I should use them! I also got a great deal on paper towels, they were on sale for $6.99  then Publix had a coupon for $2.00 off and I used a $0.25 from PG making it $0.79 a roll! But not a great trip but I was able to stock up on products that we use often A LOT! So not a great trip but not a bad one either. Oh and Publix is running a special right now if you spend $100 you get $10 in gift certificates.

Total Saved to date: $43.46

Its that time again! This past week has flown by and I cant believe its Friday already! But I am so ready for this weekend! Cant wait for some great family time this weekend. I am thinking we may take the kids to a pumpkin patch! Hope everyone has had a wonderful week and a great weekend!

Remember to head over to Wife Of A Sailor and see what other Military Spouses are saying!

  1. A word that always makes me laugh is ”  ‘Naw Mean Son!” Yes I know that it is phrase but when it comes out of my son’s mouth I have to laugh! And I would like to thank our old roommate for teaching this to my kid!.
  2. If you looked in my refrigerator right now, the oldest thin you’d find would be probably some sort of condiments I clean out the refrigerator at least every other week
  3. If I were written about in the newspaper today, on the front page, the headline would say mom of 2 changes her name and wont tell anyone what it is! (can you tell I have already hear “Momma” one to many times today?) .
  4. The last movie I saw was Cars 2. I think I was more excited about it than Landen was!
  5. The best thing that happened to me in the last few weeks was I got my new sewing table! I love it and it is a great space to work on especially while I am trying to make Lexi’s Halloween costume! (is it sad that I am excited about a sewing table?)
