I have been introducing solid foods, but she has not been extremely interested in solids so we really haven’t been rushing her. She has tried rice cereal, sweet potatoes, and green beans. She really only likes sweet potatoes! My next foods to introduce are the fruits, I think my first choice will be avocado, and yes apparently avocado is a fruit, who knew!

We spent Memorial Day with my grandparents and parents up at my aunt and uncle’s lake house at Lake Hartwell, GA. It was a beautiful day to be at the lake.

We enjoyed spending time with family

In the water

On the boat

and teaching Landen how to ride on a float

by the end of the day the kids were worn out

We had a wonderful time and Landen is already asking when we can go back again! Hopefully we will be able to make it back up there real soon!

My little girl is already growing up! She is talking and smiling ALL the time. She knows my voice and turns her head whenever she hears it. She all loves her big brother and smiles at him every time he talks to her. In the last few days she has started trying to roll over but she isn’t quite there yet, but I know it will only be a few more days and she will have it. I have had her sitting up in her super seat and she LOVES it, especially when Landen is dancing around her and acting silly. She just stares at him and laughs out loud. She is not sleeping through the night yet but she usually only has 1 nighttime feeding. She is usually in bed by 8:30 and will sleep until 7:30 or 8:00 in the mornings (longer if Landen doesn’t wake her up).

Over the past 2 days we have been eating some of the juiciest strawberries I have ever eaten.

Where did I get them? Well from this field!

Who picked them? Well these people did!

Landen started picking with him own bucket……

But about 10 mins in he was sitting down on the job!

And while we did all the work Lexi slept in the car with GG (the kids’ great grandmother)

We spent a great day with GG and Nana and got LOTS of strawberries! I think we will be heading back in a few weeks to check out their blueberries!

These last 2 months have flown by, I cant believe that Lexi is already 2 months old. She has began smiling at about 6 weeks and has been smiling more and more everyday. She is sleeping around 4-6 hours at a time at night and taking about 3-4 naps during the day. Lexi is very alert and loves seeing everything around her. She is holding her head up really well and loves spending time on her map looking at her mobile. She hates tummy time but is able to lift her head up at about a 45 degree angle. Her eyes are still blue and she still has brown hair but sometimes her eyes look green and she has some blond and red streaks in her hair. We went to the doctor on Monday and he said that she is perfect, but of coarse I already knew that! She got 3 shots and 1 oral vaccine so its been a rough few days for her.

Weight: 10lbs 6 oz (between the 15th and 50th percentile)
Length: 21 inches (between the 3rd and 15th percentile)

She is a little short thing, but the doctor said not to worry that each child grows at their own pace and not to worry.
