I am thankful for the ability to coupon! I have really been able to save some money by shopping strategically and with coupons. For example this last week I was able to save $50 on our groceries. I am still learning but I am slowly getting better!

Ok so I haven’t done my “Days of Thanks” posts for the past few days. That’s only because I have been spending the time with my kids. So for both Day 12 & 13 I am thankful for my wonderful kids and being able to spend time with them! I am thankful for remembering to appreciate the time that I do get with them and to not get to overwhelmed with house work and thinking about all the things I should be doing and concentrating on spending time with them!

Hope you all had a great weekend and a wonderful week!

Every week Wife Of A Sailor posts questions for military spouses to answer. I have learned a lot about other spouses this way. Head over and see what everyone else has to say!

  1. Freedom is  something that we have to fight for! It did not come free and we need to show appreciation for the men and women who have fought for this freedom!
  2. Veterans are   the REAL American heroes! Our children worship sports stars, TV stars and other people who really are not TRUE heroes but the American GI are not shown the respect they deserve for laying their life on the line EVERYDAY!  .
  3. This country is the greatest country in the world and if you dont believe that you should just go somewhere else!.
  4. Veteran’s Day means  a day to appreciate the real American hero! Remember to thank a Veteran!
  5. A hero is some one who unselfishly does something. It could be pulling someone out of a burning house or putting their live on the line to protect this country. They are normal people who dont expect thanks for what they do and could be someone standing next to you and you would never know it! .

I am thankful for my grandfathers, father and my husband! All of which have served this country! Please remember today to thank a Veteran! They are the TRUE American Heroes!

Day 9

I am thankful for my new food saver! I have been debating over getting one of these for several months but I fanially broke down and when to buy one! Only because I had a 20% off coupon for Bed Bath and Beyond! Now I can freeze all my pumpkin and can be sure that it will last until next year. I have never been so excited about getting to use a kitchen appliance! I can’t wait to see how much money I can save us by batch cooking and having meals saved in the freezer,

Day 10

Friends who hand down clothes to my kids! It is really a life saver sometimes! Like today when it was so cold and I have not bought winter clothes cause its been like 80 degrees here until today!

I am thankful for PB&J for dinner. It is great when I ask Landen what he wants for dinner and his response is “Peanut Butter & Jelly please”! Especially when I am just feeling exhausted!
