Today Landen and I made Halloween cookies shaped like pumpkins, cats, and owls. Landen enjoyed eating the cookie dough while I did all the work!

I even caught him under the table with the empty bowl eating the left over dough….this is something his daddy would do! And while icing the cookies he had no interest in putting the icing on the cookies only in his mouth! Landen defiantly has a sweet tooth, just like his daddy! I cant wait to do this with him again except next time I will use color flow icing instead of butter cream, even though it is a little harder to work with it has a better result on cookies and will allow me to be more creative with the designs. Cant wait until Thanksgiving……we are making Turkey cookies!

I love the holidays!!! So its Halloween Week!!!! There are so many fun projects we can do as a family and Monday night we did the first project of the week, a Haunted Gingerbread House. It was a fun project however it was a boxed kit and I was not very impressed buy the design or the materials. Shane helped build the house, I decorated it, and Landen helped by eating the icing(by the time we were done he was covered in orange icing). The house is not finished because we ran out of icing but it was a fun time doing a project as a family, and Landen really enjoyed eating the icing!

This weeks Build & Grow was a bat for Halloween. The bat is a puppet, Landen can move its wings up and down by moving the control bar. It was one of the most difficult projects Landen has done so far because there was a lot of knots that had to be tied. So Shane ended up doing most of the project. Landen still really enjoyed going and has been playing with the bat ever since!

20 Week Update

How far along? 20 weeks
Total weight gain: 9 pounds
Maternity clothes: in pregnancy clothing! MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE!
Best moment this week: watching my belly move for the first time
Cravings: Ice cream
Gender: TEAM PINK!!!!
Sleep: Only on my side, there is no way to sleep on my belly anymore. And weird dreams, they are very vivid!
Movement: She rolls around a lot at night, it is very different from Landen (he was like a kick boxer in my belly)
Belly button: still an where it should be!
What I miss: Clothing that fits right, I am too small to be in maternity clothing but none of my pre-pregnancy fit anymore, well at least not comfortably.
What I am looking forward to: Feeling her move more often and Landen being able to see her move.
Milestone: She is about 10 ½ ounces and 6 ½ inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches head to heel (the length of a banana).
WE MADE IT HALF WAY!!!!!!

Lists!!!!

Lately my life has become overwhelmed with lists!!!! Shopping lists, baby items checklists, packing lists, moving lists, Christmas lists, etc. I was never a list person before but now I seem to need a checklist for everything. I need a list to remember what I need to do that day. Call it pregnancy brain or just being forgetful, lately I would probably forget to put shoes on to walk out of the house if I didn’t have it written down! I don’t remember having this problem when I was pregnant with Landen, well not to this extreme anyways. Maybe I just have so much to do in the next two months that I need to write it all down. This should be a interesting few months! I can’t wait to see where life is going to take our little family and what adventures we are about to face!

We went to the Build & Grow in Ocala, FL this past weekend. We got to go with Landen’s uncle Andy and cousin Logan. They got to build a fun house mirror and had a lot of fun doing it. Its always nice when Landen gets to spend time with his cousin and he really enjoys their time together.
