Over the last 4 weeks I have been taking another cake decorating class. In this class we learned to work with fondant and gum paste. I learned how to make roses, mums, carnations, Calla Lilies, leaves, daisies, and a bow. Yesterday was my final class and here is what my final cake looked like.

So Saturday was safety week at Lowe’s. While we were there Landen got to build a puppet theater, which he destroyed when we got home! But the best part was that they had a firetruck in the parking lot and we got to see a lady dresses up in all the fire gear, shoot water with the hose, and climb in the fire truck! Landen really enjoyed the whole day.

16 weeks

How far along? 16 weeks
Total weight gain: 4 pounds
Maternity clothes: belly bands for jeans
Best moment this week: Landen asking me to listen to the baby every morning when we wake up(we got a fetal Doppler so he wants me to put it on my stomach every morning so he can hear the baby).
Cravings: nothing yet just hungry all the time!
Gender: I am not sure, but Shane thinks it’s a girl.(dont tell him I put it on here)
Sleep: I can no longer sleep on my back, so I have been sleeping on my side and stomach. (Mostly on my stomach when my back is hurting!)
Movement: I have felt it move a few times, but it feels like little bubbles nothing very hard yet.
Belly button: still an where it should be!
What I miss: Sleeping on my back.
What I am looking forward to: Finding out what the gender is so I don’t have to keep calling it an it.
Milestone: This week the baby is the size of an avocado about (4 ½ inches long and 3 ½ ounces. Its heart is now pumping 25 quarts of blood each day and this will continue to go up as it continues to develop.

Only 24 weeks left!

2 1/2 year old!

I cant believe that my little man is 2 ½. Time has flown by so quickly. When I look back on some pictures from his first days I have a hard time believing it is even the same child. Landen has become a very independent little man with a little big personality! I see him grow and change everyday, lately he has been experiencing problems with telling his parents NO! when it is something that he doesn’t like. So it has been a few day of Mommy explaining to Landen that he is NOT the boss even if he thinks that he is.

Landen and Shane have a very special relationship, Landen wants to do anything that his daddy does and is very helpful when Shane takes him to water the flowers and the grass. Landen doesn’t like it when Shane has to leave for work in the mornings but is very excited when he finally comes home at night. When Landen hears the door open he runs to it and says “ Hi Dad!”. They enjoy their trips to Lowe’s for the Build and Grow projects and hopefully that will be something that we will continue for a long time.

What Can Landen do at 2 ½

He can recognize all the letters A-Z (he doesn’t know most of the lower case letters)
He can count to 20
He can count backwards from 10
He enjoys hitting baseballs
He likes to jump and climb (basically anything where he is moving)

This is our first time back to Lowe’s since Shane got home from Florida! Landen was really excited to build this weekend.

We we also got to share this trip to Lowe’s with Landen’s Nana and Papa.

He loved showing Papa what he had made!

This week we made a pet leash keeper. Since we don’t have a pet we are going to use it to put Landen’s diaper bag on.
